Marlon Wayans Information
Marlon Lamont Wayans (July 23, 1972) is a performer, comedian, screenwriter, and producer born in New York City. Among his many credits are the comedies Don't Be a Menace (1996), Scary Movie (2000, 2001), Scary Movie 2 (2001), White Chicks (2004, 2006), Little Man (2009), and Dance Flick (2009), in which he co-starred with his brother Shawn Wayans.
Together with Randy Adams, Wayans founded What the Funny, an online hub for urban comedy. In 2014, he developed and hosted the TBS comedy competition series Funniest Wins. Wayans and his siblings embarked on "The Wayans Brothers Tour" in 2014, performing across the United States. His 2017 NBC sitcom Marlon, which he co-wrote and starred in, lasted for two seasons.
Above the Rim (1994), The 6th Man (1997), Norbit (2007), G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009), The Heat (2013), A Haunted House (2013), and its sequel A Haunted House 2 (2014), Naked (2017), Fifty Shades of Black (2016), Sextuplets (2019), and On the Rocks (2020) are just a few of the films in which Wayans has appeared. In the '00 film Requiem for a Dream, a psychological drama, Wayans played a dramatic role, departing from his typical comedic roles.
Variety announced Wayan's YouTube channel in September 2017. It was also announced that the content would be produced in collaboration with Shots Studios, a Los Angeles-based production company. He has shared the screen with famous YouTube personalities like Anwar Jibawi and Hannah Stocking. Wayan's contract with HBO Max began in 2020.
