Originally from Enterprise, Chaguanas, Trinidad, and Tobago, Marlon Asher is a popular reggae performer. The song "Ganja Farmer" was his debut single. His subsequent reggae releases include the single "Fit and Strong." Marlon Asher grew up on Enterprise Street in Chaguanas, Trinidad and Tobago. Formerly a Mount Ararat Spiritual Baptist Church choir member, he eventually became a Rastafarian. Although his debut single, "Ganja Farmer," was a smash hit internationally, it caused a stir in Asher's native Trinidad.
Before his allergies got the best, Asher worked as a mason and a joiner. A sawing accident caused him to lose his left index finger. He plays for a pan-team that his dad, Glenford Sobers, coaches. Vas Productions published his debut studio album, Illusions, in 2015. "Rebirth" was launched in 2019. He appeared on the 2017 and 2019 albums "Life Of A Ghetto Youth Chapter 1" and "Life Of A Ghetto Youth Chapter 2," respectively.
Sizzla, Anthony B, Slightly Stoopid, Pressure Busspipe, Orlando Octave, Fortunate Youth, Don Corleon, Teflon Zincfence, etc., are just a few of the great names in reggae that he has worked with musically. 2020 saw the debut of his two singles, "Family Love" and "Use Me," as well as a handful of live stream appearances and drive-in performances with his band, Slightly Stoopid.
