Marc Hervieux Information
Marc Hervieux (June 19, 1969) is a Canadian lyrical artist. He is currently based in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve district in Montreal, Quebec. Hervieux discovered his lyrical art by watching programs hosted by Yoland Guerard. He was soon introduced to the theater, where his brother also worked with a troupe of amateurs. He then started singing on this occasion. He devoted his young age to singing as an amateur in a group called La Gang de chums. Hervieux was encouraged by his friends in 1991 to audition and join the cast of the play entitled; Don Juan comes back from war put on by the New Theatrical Company.
Hervieux took part in a Jeunesses Musicales Canada tour in 1999 as a part of the opera L’Elisir d’amore. The tenor holds many leading roles in Europe and Canada. He became the principal artist at the Metropolitan Opera in New York in 2006. Hervieux recorded his first album in 2009 entitled, After Us. The album comprised seven covers of pop titles written by Jean-Jacques Goldman and Charles Azvanour. He also included original songs by Michel Cusson, Jean-Francois Breau, and Frederick Baron.
Other albums released by Hervieux include The First Christmas (2009), Tenor Arias (2010), In Napoli (2011), A Winter Tuner (2011), and My Pleasures (2013).
