Lucas Oil 150 Information
Phoenix Raceway hosts the Lucas Oil 150, a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race. The inaugural Truck Series event took place in 1995, and it is part of NASCAR Championship Weekend. From 1995 through 1998, the series held two races in Phoenix every year.
The race started for the first time in 1995 as Skoal Bandit Copper World Classic. It has been through several names changes over the years, such as GM Goodwrench / Delco Battery 200 (1995), Chevy Desert Star Classic (1996), GM Goodwrench / AC Delco 300 (1997), Chevy Trucks NASCAR 150 (1998, 1999-2000), Chevy Silverado 150 Presented by Valley Chevy Dealers (2004), and Casino Arizona 150 (2006-2007).
Mike Skinner was the first driver to win the race in 1995. First on February 5 and the second one on October 28. Many other drivers have won the race over the years, such as Jack Sprague, Joe Ruttman, Ron Hornaday Jr., Mike Bliss, Greg Biffle, Kevin Harvick, David Starr, and others.
