Loudoun United FC Information
Loudoun United FC is a professional soccer team. The team is based in Leesburg, Virginia. The team was created in 2018 as D.C. United's reserve team and debuted in the USL Championship in 2019. United's USL affiliate, Loudoun United FC, has taken over from Richmond Kickers.
Loudoun United FC wears the same colors as its parent club, D.C. United: black, red, and white. The club's crest features a winged horse about both D.C. United's eagle logo and Loudoun County's long history with equestrian sports, as well as the red-and-white gyronny seen in the county's flag and coat of arms.
Segra Field, a new 5,000-seat stadium at Philip A. Bolen Memorial Park in Leesburg, is where the club plays. D.C. United and the county government spent $15 million to construct the stadium. Construction began in 2018 and ended in August of this year. After several first home games at Audi Field, they made their new stadium debut in front of 5,015 fans in a 3–3 tie against the Charlotte Independence.
The Loudoun Stampede is Loudoun United's primary fan base. The fan club hosts tailgates, events, and watch parties.
