Linda Evans (November 18, 1942) is an American actress who is primarily known for her television roles. She was born in Hartford, Connecticut and attended Hollywood High School. During her time in school, she was a sorority sister of future actress Carole Wells. Her last name was Evenstad, but when she began her professional career, she changed her last name to Evans. She has been working as a professional since 1960. Her first guest-starring role was on an episode of Bachelor Father in 1960. Evans also made an appearance on The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet.
Evans has made many television appearances on Wagon Train and The Lieutenant. She earned a big role as a regular in The Big Valley in 1965. Evans has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and, in 1971, she appeared in Playboy (magazine). She has been featured in numerous films throughout her career including Twilight of Honor (1963), Those Calloways (1965), Beach Blanket Bingo (1965), Childish Things (1969), The Klansman (1974), Mitchell (1975), Avalanche Express (1979), and Tom Horn (1980).
Additionally, Evans has appeared on several television shows including Outlaws (1962), The Untouchables (1962), Buttons and Her Beaus (1962), The Eleventh Hour (1963), Dr. Kildare (1964), My Favorite Martian (1965), Female Artillery (1973), McCloud (1973), Nowhere to Run (1978), The Fall Guy (1981), North and South, Book II (1986), and She’ll Take Romance (1990).
