Lee Foss is an American-born DJ and producer. He was born in Dekalb, Illinois. His frequent attendance prompted Foss's fascination with house and disco music at Chicago nightclubs and raves in the '90s. For years, he recalls, "I was doing music on my own in Chicago using Logic and not getting very far," except his "edits," which he would send to his pals who were better DJs, and they would appreciate.
According to Foss, meeting Jamie Jones in Ibiza in the early 2000s was a watershed moment in his musical development. They hit it off immediately, leading to the Hot Creations record label with Richy Ahmed, the Hot Natured band with Infinity Ink (Ali Love and Luca C), and the Paradise event series.
Foss is a name to know on both sides of the Atlantic, having made his reputation at venues including London's fabric, Brazil's Warung, Manchester's The Warehouse Project, Los Angeles's The Standard Rooftop, Berlin's Watergate, and New York's Spybar. The variety of his DJ sets includes everything from nu-school house to synth-heavy techno, and the steady stream of releases on labels like No. 19, Culprit, Wolf+Lamb, and his own Hot Creations have contributed to his meteoric climb to fame.
