Léa Jarry's career is full of surprises, and she has been shortlisted for two awards at the 2021 ADISQ Gala (Revelation of the Year and Country Album of the Year).
The Baie-Saint-Paul native has written for years, performed in Quebec, and worked with some of the province's and province's and country's biggest stars in music. With an Instagram video as her calling card, Jarry landed her first record deal with Rosemarie Records in 2019. She then released Entre temps, a four-song EP in French, which gave him his first taste of success in country-specific, introspective music.
Her first EP was nominated for a GAMIQ in the Folk EP of the Year category, and she was also nominated for three awards at the Gala Country 2020, where she took home the Author and SOCAN Composer of the Year prizes, respectively. She continued her rise with the publication of her debut studio album that autumn, titled L'heure d'été, which was also well-received by critics.
Jarry shares her joyful nostalgia with a generous sweetness through the ten tracks that embellish her first opus. Jarry presented a massive show at the Stade de Saint-Tite via social media, a flashy performance that has since garnered nearly 270,000 views in honor of the event.
