Lani Bayot Misalucha (August 3, 1969) is a Filipino singer. She was born in Manila, Philippines. A musical family was where Lani Misalucha was raised. Her mother was a coloratura singer, while her father, Benjamin de Guzmán Bayot, was an operatic tenor. May, one of her sisters, sings in a band; Karlyn, another sister, is an actor (Munting Paraiso), while Novi and Osi, their brothers, play the guitar and the piano. Her parents gave her lessons in classical singing techniques.
Rafael Palma Elementary School and PCU Union High School were where Misalucha received her fundamental education. She joined the Andres Bonifacio Choir of the Cultural Center of the Philippines at the age of 20 and performed. As a vocalist or backup singer, she eventually joined several bands, first with "Prelude" and then with "Law of Gravity," whose frontman Bodjie Dasig gave Misalucha her debut hit, "More than I Should" (1993). She also captured the song "Sakayan ng Jeep" by Dasig. Later, Misalucha performed as a singer on the lounge circuits and contributed her voice to several commercial jingles and karaoke cassettes, earning her the moniker "Multiplex Queen."
Misalucha married Noli Misalucha after earning a business management degree from the Philippine Christian University, and the couple eventually had two daughters, Lian and Louven. Misalucha belongs to a group that supports the New Orleans Hurricane Katrina victims.
