Lala Lala Information
Lala Lala is the famous indie rock project that belongs to Lillie West (guitar, vocals). She is a Chicago-based songwriter who was raised in London. Later on, West moved to Los Angeles with her family during her teens. To attend the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, she relocated to Chicago. During her high school, West started getting involved in the underground music of the city.
West has always been a long-time fan of music. So, it didn't take long for her to create music even before starting college. West was strongly encouraged by one of her friends to start making music of her own. She also purchased a guitar from Craigslist on her friend's demand.
In 2016, the debut album by Lala Lala was released entitled Sleepyhead. It was followed by a sophomore album titled, The Lamb. This album was released on Sub Pop imprint, Hardly Art, in September 2018. Another album by the ensemble entitled Stereogum followed and gave Lala Lala the prestigious recognition. The band was regarded as "Band to Watch" in July 2018.
"Siren 042" was another hit collaboration among Lala Lala and Yoni Wolf that came out in January 2019. Wolf was the frontman of the American band; WHY? In March of the same year, Lala Lala was set to enjoy a nationwide tour opening. It was meant for the famous Conor Oberst and Phoebe Bridgers duo. The tour was arranged at Better Oblivion Community Center. Later that year, Lala Lala also opened for the Death Cab for Cutie on their U.S. Summer tour.
