Kristin Diable is an American musician, singer, and songwriter. She was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Diable started performing as a teenager in underground clubs in south Louisiana. When she relocated to New York City at 18, she broadened her musical tastes and, for the first time, attracted the attention of the mainstream music industry. Despite multiple successful performances and partnerships with regional musicians, she returned to her native Louisiana in the late 2000s after following her inspiration there.
Through Speakeasy Records, she issued her debut solo album, Extended Play, in 2009. Three years later, an EP, Kristin Diable and the City, was published by Speakeasy Records with favorable reviews in her home region. The HBO television shows "True Blood" and "Treme" featured music from the album. Create Your Own Mythology, her second full-length and debut country album, was released in 2015 by Speakeasy Records/Thirty Tigers and was produced by Dave Cobb (Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell).
Diable played the title role in the animated film Forever Waves. Diable was brought on board the project by director and producer Jeffrey Roedel as a co-writer and composer. The movie was screened at the French Quarter and Louisiana International Film Festival, where it won an Award for Excellence in the Best Shorts Competition.
