Kevin Nealon Information
Kevin Nealon is an actor and comedian from St. Louis, Missouri, though later moved to Bridgeport, Connecticut, with his family after his birth. When Nealon was six, they moved to Germany for four years. Nealon attended St. Joseph High School in Trumbull, Connecticut, and graduated in 1971. Later on, he earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from Sacred Heart University and began taking night courses at Fairfield University.
Nealon initiated his career by playing in high school bands, but he gravitated more towards comedy in college. Nealon relocated to San Diego and then eventually to Los Angeles in 1977. When he finally made his network debut, he had been doing stand-up for the past six years. His television debut was on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson in 1984. Later, Nealon became a regular performer on the show as well as on Late Night with David Letterman.
Nealon was a full-time performer in the 1987–1988 season of Saturday Night Live. Some of his SNL characters include Mr. Subliminal, Frank Gannon, PIPI, Bob Waltman (a male Barbara Walters), Franz (of Hans and Franz), and Carvey. From 1991 to 1994, he also anchored the Weekend Update.
Nealon had his first major film role, as boyfriend Tony Boer in All I Want for Christmas, in 1991. Some of the other hit films that featured Nealon are Little Nicky, Just Go with It, Daddy Day Care, Good Boy!, Happy Gilmore, The Wedding Singer, These Old Broads, Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, and Father of the Year.
