Kathy Sullivan (May 31, 1953) is an American singer. Sullivan began her singing career in the church where she was raised in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Later, she attended George Nelson Tremper High School in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where she participated in the school's choir and played the cello in the orchestra. She was attending the University of Wisconsin–Madison when Lawrence Welk found her. At the time, she was participating in a show that traveled the country as the local representative of the Miss Champagne Lady pageant. After completing her education in 1976, she was given a job in the same field.
Sullivan performed several solos and was frequently a duet partner with Dick Dale in various pieces. She is known for her work as a Christian recording artist, having published several gospel music albums and performing for philanthropic organizations such as World Vision. In addition, Kathie put on a one-woman show in which she portrayed Jane Long in several locations in Dallas, Texas. She continues to perform even now, primarily for the elderly residents of retirement complexes, and she has hosted wraparounds for Welk repetitions that have been broadcast on PBS.
