Jeannette Trevias Information
Jeannette Casuga Trevias is a musician and singer who was born and raised in the Philippines. She began playing the piano at the age of 4 and later learned percussion and drums. She studied at Yamaha School of Music at 14 and completed her graduation with a Bachelor of Music degree with a major in piano from the University of Santo Tomas.
Trevias joined the Asian Yamaha Electone Competition in Singapore when she was 16 and won 1st place. Trevias also represented Asia in the International Yamaha Festival and earned the Kawakami award, a promising award. She also has done musical directing for big Filipino artists, including Martin Nievera and Lea Salonga (Tony Award for Miss Saigon).
Trevias relocated to Honolulu, where she played with Fiji, Melveen Leed, Carol Kai, the Local Divas, Loyal Gardner, and a few more. Presently she is working with Nohelani Cypriano at The Hilton Hawaiian Village. She also played for Tiger Okoshi, a well-known international trumpet player, and Nestor Torre at the International Jazz festival in 2000. Trevias was selected the Musical Director for Hawaii’s own Society of Seven Las Vegas for four years and has performed several times as a headliner at Blue Note.
