Iya Terra Information
Iya Terra is an American dub and roots reggae band. The current lineup consists of Tanner Arebalo (drums), Nick Sefakis (rhythm guitar), Luis Tovar (keyboard), Nick Loporchio (bass), and Nathan Feinstein (lead guitar and lead vocals). In 2012, Nathan Feinstein (vocals/guitar) and Nick Loporchio (bass/longtime buddy) came up with the band name Iya Terra (meaning "Higher Ground"). Both got their musical starts in the summer of 2013 while jamming on the UCLA campus.
They released their debut studio album, Full Circle, on April 14, 2015, after bringing Blake Bartz on drums and Nick Sefakis on rhythm guitar. It was recorded at Castaway 7 Studios in Ventura, California, and engineered by Grammy-winning producer J.P. Hesser. The album entered the charts at #4 on iTunes and #12 on Billboard's Top Reggae Albums.
