Hezekiah Walker Information
Bishop Hezekiah Walker (December 24, 1962) is a famous American gospel singer and artist born in Brooklyn, New York. He is also the leader of the Love Fellowship Tabernacle, a well-known Pentecostal megachurch in Brooklyn, New York.
He studied sociology at Long Island University. His other educational stops were the New York School of the Bible and Hugee Theological Institute. 2008 Walker was ordained as a bishop in the Apostolic Faith Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Later that year, he changed to the Pentecostal Churches of Jesus Christ.
The album Love Is Live! Propelled Hezekiah & The LFT Church Choir to a 2001 NAACP Image Award nomination for Best Gospel Artist, Traditional. Walker earned Grammy Awards for Best Gospel Album By Choir Or Chorus for Live in Atlanta at Morehouse College (1994) and Love Is Live! (2001) with The LFT Church Choir.
Walker's LFT Church Choir recorded "Love Is Live" in 2001 and Recorded Live At Love Fellowship Tabernacle in 1998, separately from The Love Fellowship Crusade Choir. With a younger and more hip-hop-influenced group, LFT Church Choir succeeded where its predecessor had failed, reaching number five on Billboard's Gospel Chart and earning a Grammy Award nomination in the same year.
In 2021, Hezekiah Walker and Pastor Frank Santora of Faith Church in New Milford, Connecticut, collaborated to establish Every Tribe Church, in Times Square, New York City. The 2023 Conclave of the Phi Beta Sigma fraternity was held in Houston, Texas, where Hezekiah Walker was admitted as an honorary member.
