Harland Michael Williams (November 14, 1962) is a Canadian-American stand-up comedian and an actor. Lorraine Mary (née O'Donnell), a social worker, and John Reesor Williams, a lawyer that served in the Ontario legislature from 1975 to 1985, had Harland Reesor Williams on November 14, 1962, in Toronto, Ontario. He is the middle child in five children, with two elder brothers, including his twin brother Steve, and two younger sisters. Harland is a dual citizen of the United States and Canada.
Dumb and Dumber, Freddy Got Fingered, Superstar, There's Something About Mary, RocketMan, Sorority Boys, Down Periscope, and Employee of the Month are just a few of Williams' film roles. He's appeared on Late Night with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, HBO, Comedy Central, and at comedy clubs across the country with his stand-up comedy routines.
In 2007, he won the title for 'Best Improviser' on an episode of NBC's prime time series Thank God You're Here for his improvisational skills. Williams has voiced 'Monster' on Nickelodeon's animated series Robot and Monster and Warwick the Warlock in Disney's direct-to-DVD film Spooky Buddies. He hosts The Harland Highway, a free bi-weekly podcast. "I Wanna Be Your Harland Williams," a song written by Parry Gripp of the rock band Nerf Herder, is a tribute to Williams.
