Raymond Ernest "Ernie" Haase III (December 12, 1964) is an American southern gospel singer who is from Evansville, Indiana. He is popular for being the founder and the tenor vocalist of Ernie Haase and Signature Sound since 2002. Also, he is well-known for being the former tenor vocalist of Cathedrals Quartet (1990-1999). His music is defined as Broadway, Southern Gospel, and Christian music. Haase is married to the third daughter of George Younce, named Lisa Younce (1990).
Haase was invited by Younce and co-founder Glen Payne, in April 1990, to join the Cathedrals as their tenor. After his retirement, Haase embarked upon a solo career for a couple of years. Along with his solo concerts, Haase also performed with Jake Hess, George Younce, Wesley Pritchard, in the Old Friends Quartet (from 2001 through 2003). After the band split, Haase founded the new group Signature Sound Quartet, Inc. This band was a rebranded version by Haase under their record label, Gaither Music. He founded the group to take advantage of the legendary platform of The Cathedral Quartet, along with his popularity as the final tenor.
