El Ten Eleven is an American post-rock duo that originated and is based in Los Angeles. The duo is best known for combining guitar/bass doubleneck or fretless bass perfectly with the heavy vamping. The ensemble uses an effects pedal over electric or acoustic drumming. The lineup of the duo consists of Kristian Dunn - Wal fretless bass and Tim Fogarty - electric drums, drum pads, acoustic drums. The duo generally deals in the Ambient, Indie rock, Math rock, Post-rock, Experimental, and Progressive rock genres.
El Ten Eleven was founded in 2002. Since then, the members have released ten full-length albums, a remix album, and two EPs. All of the releases earned positive reviews. The duo earned a major part of their success from gaining attention due to many songs. These songs were featured in the soundtracks of Helvetica, Objectified, and Urbanized. The three of them are Gary Hustwit's design documentaries.
