Emanuel Herrera Batista (December 18, 1990) is a Dominican rapper. He is professionally known by his stage name, El Alfa. He was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. With the release of "Fuin Fuan" in April 2013, El Alfa stuck with his signature sound of fast-paced dembow influenced by DJ Patio's productions and saw his reputation soar.
Not only did he release "Humo Excsame (Remix)" with Musicologo The Libro, but he also recorded "T Me Gusta Pila" with Puerto Rican musician Farruko that same year.
El Alfa's popularity skyrocketed in the following years, thanks to his work with global icons like Cardi B, J Balvin, Pitbull, Tyga, and the Black Eyed Peas. In February 2021, "Singapur" hit a new population high, passing 200 million. El Alfa is widely regarded as the most influential artist in the Dominican Republic's dembow scene, with over 15,500,000 monthly listeners to his songs on Spotify and a global ranking of no. 164.
El Alfa, the first Latin urban musician to headline at Palacio de los Deportes Virgilio Travieso Soto, performed there on September 3, 2018, to honor his decade-long career. His work with Anuel AA, Bad Bunny, and Nicky Jam has been released.
