Edith Márquez Landa (on January 27, 1973) is an actress and singer from Mexico. Her Spanish pronunciation is [e'ðit 'ma?kes]. She was born in Puebla City, Mexico. Winning the 1978 and 1984 television musical competitions "Juguemos a cantar" and "Canta, Canta" launched her professional career (1984).
In subsequent years, she participated in the musical ensemble Timbiriche and furthered her education by enrolling in a few classes at the Televisa Artistic Educational Training Center.
In addition to participating in several soap operas, she also became the representative of Mexico at the Viña del Mar International Song Festival in 2001.
She made history in 2003 when she had her handprints engraved onto Mexico City's Paseo de las Luminarias, becoming the first Timbiriche member to do so. As a music artist and television personality, her fingerprints were permanently carved into the industry.
