Dreamcatcher Information
Dreamcatcher is a South Korean female group founded by Dreamcatcher Company. The group comprises JiU, SuA, Siyeon, Handong, Yoohyeon, Dami, and Gahyun seven members. With their single album Nightmare, they formally debuted on January 13, 2017. Dreamcatcher was first made public under the moniker MINX with a five-member line-up including JiU, SuA, Siyeon, Yoohyeon, and Dami.
To differentiate themselves from other K-pop girl groups, the group announced their re-debut in 2017 under the new name Dreamcatcher in November 2016, together with two new members, Handong and Gahyun, and a darker concept with a non-mainstream music style. Dreamcatcher, also called "The Face of Rock in K-pop," has had acclaim for its unique sound, which blends metal and rock elements.
Claiming mutual trust between the members and the firm, all seven Dreamcatcher members extended their contracts early in November 2023 before their current ones expired. Compared to its home prominence, the group has gained more worldwide appeal and a reputation for frequent travel abroad. Dreamcatcher debuted a special single album, Luck Inside 7 Doors, on March 8, 2024.
