Donald McKinley Glover Jr. is a multi-talented American artist, better known by his stage name, Childish Gambino. He has acted comedically, musically, directed, produced, and written. While he was a member of the comic ensemble Derrick Comic and a student at New York University,
Tina Fey hired Glover, who was 23 years old, to write for the NBC comedy 30 Rock. From 2009 to 2014, he became famous as Troy Barnes, a college student on the NBC comedy series Community. He developed and occasionally directed the FX series Atlanta, where he starred from 2016 to 2022. Two Primetime Emmys and two Golden Globes were among the many honors bestowed upon him for his performance in Atlanta.
Glover's production business, GILGA, announced the existence of a new album and its intention to re-release 3.15.20 as a "finished" album named Atavista during a radio stream in April 2024. According to Glover, the latter will serve as the score for a future film titled Bando Stone in the New World and will be Childish Gambino's last album. Glover published Altavista on May 13, 2024.
