Dell Technologies Championship Information
The Dell Technologies Championship is a PGA Tour event held annually in late summer over Labor Day weekend in Norton, Massachusetts, United States. Because the FedEx Cup was lowered from four to three Playoff events in 2019, the 2018 edition was the last time it was held.
The Northern Trust's opening event of the FedEx Cup playoffs will rotate between the New York/New Jersey and Boston locations in 2019 and 2020, according to the PGA Tour's announcement in July 2018. The Northern Trust will be played at Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, New Jersey, from August 6–11, 2019, and the PGA Tour will return to TPC Boston in 2020.
In 2017, Dell Technologies became the tournament's title sponsor; the company's new subsidiary, Dell EMC, is based in Massachusetts. Through 2016, Deutsche Bank sponsored the first 14 events. From 2013 to 2016, the Tiger Woods Foundation was in charge of the event, which the PGA Tour last organized.
From 2003 to 2006, ABC Sports was the initial network partner, while the 2006 event was televised under the "ESPN on ABC" brand. From 2007 to 2018, NBC Sports broadcasted the event, while the 2011 and 2012 editions were shown under the "Golf Channel on NBC" banner.
