Deadguy Information
Deadguy is an American metalcore band. The current lineup consists of "Big" Chris Pierce (guitars), Jim Baglino (bass), Tim "Pops" Naumann (lead vocals), Dave Rosenberg (drums), and Chris "Crispy" Corvino (backing vocals and guitars). Deadguy was formed in 1994, drawing influence from groups like Unsane and Today is the Day. The band's name was inspired by a lyric from the Only the Lonely film starring John Candy. In that one year, the band released two 7-inches, namely Work Ethic and White Meat.
Fixation On A Co-Worker, Deadguy's sole legitimate studio album, was elected into the Decibel magazine Hall of Fame in July 2006, despite the band not being as well-known as some of their contemporaries. The band set off on a disastrous US tour supporting Fixation on a Co-Worker, dogged by poor planning and a lack of resources. During the western leg of the tour, founding members Keith Huckins and Tim Singer parted ways to form Kiss It Goodbye in Seattle, Washington.
Deadguy announced on May 25th, 2021, that they would reassemble the "Fixation on a Co-worker" lineup in time to play the 2021 Decibel Metal and Beer Fest. The concert marked their return to the stage after an absence of 25 years. Buyer's Remorse: Live from the Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest was published in June 2022 as the debut album on the Decibel Records label.
