Texan David Beck spent the summer of 2017 aimlessly and uninspired before an unexpected house party provided the spark he needed. In full force, Selena and her band could be seen and heard on the massive screen, their music reverberating and setting off a chain reaction within the Astrodome.
Within seconds, he was hooked and planning his next move. He started listening to Tejano music nonstop, a big part of the culture in San Marcos, Texas, where he was born. Inspired by Tejano's music, he started composing and recording his material and eventually performing live. He began performing by quickly assembling a band with a flaming accordion, glistening keys, cranked guitars, upright bass, and drums.
The style he has developed is classical Tejano sung in English. Every music is a club banger, and every concert celebrates good times with loved ones old and new. David is no stranger to the spotlight; as the Upright Bass player for his bands Sons of Fathers and Blue Healer, he performed everywhere from the Grand Ole Opry to Bonnaroo, Gruene Hall to Austin City Limits, and everywhere in between.
