Dan Levy Information
Daniel Joseph Levy (August 9, 1983) is a Canadian comedian, producer, actor, writer, and director born in Toronto, Ontario. Levy started his career as one of the original seven co-hosts on MTV Canada's flagship series MTV Live. He rose to notoriety as co-host of MTV Canada's The After Show and its several versions, including The Hills: The After Show and The City: Live After Show, alongside Jessi Cruickshank. A few of these post-shows were also broadcast in the United States.
He made his acting debut in a four-episode narrative arc for the Canadian TV show Degrassi: The Next Generation, which was then adapted into a TV movie called Degrassi Goes Hollywood. Levy portrayed a film producer on Degrassi who hires Paige Michalchuk as the star in a new film directed by actor Jason Mewes. He also starred alongside Tina Fey and Paul Rudd in the 2012 thriller Cyberstalker and the 2013 comedy-drama Admission.
Levy founded Not a Real Company Productions in 2013. Schitt's Creek was their debut effort, a television pilot for CBC. Along with his father, Sarah Levy, Catherine O'Hara, Annie Murphy, and Chris Elliott, Levy starred in the series.
