Though he was born in New Jersey, Cranston Dean has a deep connection to the history of New England. His songs use elements of Americana, folk, jazz, country, blues, and pop to interpret and transcend the human experience.
The singer/songwriter has performed in a wide variety of Jersey Shore venues, most notably Asbury Park's The Saint, The Wonder Bar, The Stone Pony, Langosta Lounge, Asbury Park Yacht Club, Danny Clinch Studio, Brighton Bar, and The Chubby Pickle. He has performed alongside such notable artists as River City Extension, Simone Felice, David Ford, Rayland Baxter, Atlas Road Crew, Nicole Atkins, Nora Jane Struthers, Julie Rhodes, and many more!
Cranston has toured throughout the Mid-Atlantic, all the way to Nashville, and up through New England, all the way to the coast of Maine on his own. Along with releasing his fourth studio album, High Beams, in the summer of 2017, he embarked on a West Coast tour that took him through many Midwestern and Southwestern states. New Jersey Advance Media included the album on their list of the best 17 albums from New Jersey artists in 2017.
