Broken Social Scene is an indie rock band from Canada. The group members who have performed with Broken Social Scene include Ohad Benchetrit, Torquil Campbell, Brendan Canning, Jason Collett, Evan Cranley, John Crossingham, Kevin Drew, Ariel Engle, Leslie Feist, Sam Goldberg Jr., Jo-Ann Goldsmith, and Emily Haines.
The broken Social Scene was formed by core members Brendan Canning and Kevin Drew in 1999. In 2001, the duo recorded and released the band’s debut album entitled, Feel Good Lost through Noise Factory Records. The album contributions by Stars’ Evan Cranley, Jessica Moss, Leslie Feist, Bill Priddle, Charles Spearin, and Justin Peroff.
Other studio albums released by Broken Social Scene include You Forgot It in People (October 15, 2002), Broken Social Scene (October 4, 2005), Forgiveness Rock Record (May 4, 2010), Hug of Thunder (July 7, 2017). The band has also released a few EPs, including Live at Radio Aligre FM in Paris (2004) and Lo-Fi for the Dividing Nights (2010).
Notable singles of the Broken Social Scene include “Stars and Sons / KC Accidental,” “Cause,” “Ibi Dream of Pavement (A Better Day),” “7/4”, “Fire Eye’d Boy,” “World Sick,” and many more.
