Beloit Sky Carp Information
The Beloit Sky Carp is a Minor League Baseball team located in Beloit, Wisconsin. The team is affiliated to the High-A Central, and it is one of the High-A affiliates of the Miami Marlins. Beloit Snappers were originally known as the Beloit Brewers (1982-1994). From 1982 to 2020, the team played in the Class A Midwest League.
The Snappers play all their home games at the popular ABC Supply Stadium. The team used to play at Harry C. Pohlman Field in the past. After moving into their current ballpark, they played at the field from its opening in 1982 until August 2021. Beloit was shifted to the High-A Central in conjunction with the reorganization of Minor League Baseball of Major League Baseball in 2021. Right before the 2022 season, the team was rebranded as the Sky. The current official color of their uniform is orange, gray, black, white, and blue.
The Beloit Snappers were organized into the 12-team High-A Central before the 2021 season. There were some formal plans to rebrand the Snappers before the 2021 season. A new name was chosen through a "name the team contest" and a brand new mascot. But everything got postponed until 2022. The Snappers included Prince Fielder, the son of Cecil Fielder (former American League home run champion), two sons of former major league players, and Danny Valencia, who played for the 2007 team.
