In 2005, Country Music Hall of Fame member Vince Gill had a great idea. He wanted to host a concert to benefit the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. This annual performance aimed to raise money for the Hall of Fame by featuring top names in country music from all around the country.
The first "All for the Hall" concert occurred in New York in 2007, making Vince Gill's longtime ambition a reality. Famous country music artists, including Taylor Swift and Bill Anderson, performed during the first event. The event was so well received that it has been held annually ever since.
Nashville, Los Angeles, and New York have taken turns hosting All for the Hall since 2007. Non-country artists like pop sensation Kesha, who performed a country cover of her song "Your Love Is My Drug" at the 2018 event, have begun to take notice of the festival in recent years.
