Abhinaya Govindan (June 6, 1997) is an American influencer, public speaker, writer, and stand-up comedian. She was born in Lubbock, Texas. After deciding to major in psychology, she enrolled at Fordham University and will finish in 2019. She worked as the Regional Director of the College Democrats of America, an intern at the Legal Aid Society, the Campus Campaign Coordinator for Teach for America, and an intern in the post-production department of Full Frontal with Samantha Bee. At the same time, she was a student at Fordham.
Govindan's humor has appeared everywhere, from Twitter and TikTok to YouTube and even, before the epidemic, stand-up comedy. Often satirizing racial supremacy, the patriarchy, and other harmful social forces, her comedy is notable for its social commentary. From late 2020 onward, Govindan tweeted that he was the show producer for the comedy-drama series Emily in Paris. These tweets poked fun at the show for various problematic aspects. She went on to say that she "made that show as a prank" and was baffled by the show's Golden Globe nominations.
