Northeast Atlanta Ballet Information
The Northeast Atlanta Ballet is an American ballet company based in Gwinnett County, Georgia. Jennifer B. Gordon founded the company in 1996 with the hope of providing talented dancers who will have the most professional performing experience. She made it possible while bringing up a premium arts program in Gwinnett’s vicinity and its surrounding counties. The ballet company performs its annual event, “The Nutcracker,” at Gwinnett Center, complete with live music by their resident orchestra.
The Northeast Atlanta Ballet also performs some full-length classics from their repertoire each spring, including “Paquita,” “Giselle,” “Coppelia,” “Swan Lake,” “Sleeping Beauty,” and “Cinderella.” They also present some series for children named “The Little Mermaid,” “Beauty & the Beast,” “Aladdin,” and “Peter Pan.” Members of the company are challenged with the new and innovative choreography. The members are consistently selected by prestigious national programming, including School of American Ballet in New York City, Carolina Ballet, The Harid Conservatory, Orlando Ballet, Houston Ballet, American Ballet Theater, and North Carolina School for the Arts.
The Northeast Atlanta Ballet’s alumni are dancing professionally across the country. They can be seen dancing in various ballet companies and continuing their dance education at prestigious universities scattered across the country.
