Bunny Hickory Dickory Dock (August 13, 1962) is an American drag queen, comedian, event organizer, and nightclub DJ. She is professionally known as Lady Bunny, and was born in Wilmington, North Carolina. She dressed up and played with the other kids in the neighborhood when she was little. Her family's home was adjacent to a florist, and she would go through the florist's trash to find ribbons to use as props in school plays.
At eleven, Bunny and her family relocated to Ghana so that her father could take advantage of a Fulbright Scholarship he had been awarded. She reflected on the big snake that had crossed the road and the banana plants in her backyard, calling it "the best year of my life." She spent some time at York, England's Bootham School, a Quaker boarding school. Bunny thinks the English education system is superior to the American one.
The two finally connected in the Peach State. They used to be the Now Explosion's go-go dancers. They both became staples of the Atlanta homosexual community alongside Larry Tee in the 1980s. They made an appearance in several independent films and the Starbooty franchise. The drag mother of Lady Bunny was revealed to be RuPaul in the episode "Roast in Peace" of RuPaul's Drag Race. In time, RuPaul followed Lady Bunny to the Big Apple.
