Critical Role Information
Critical Role is an American online series that features professional voice actors playing Dungeons & Dragons. The program began airing halfway through the first campaign of the cast in March 2015. After 115 episodes, Campaign One concluded in October 2017; Campaign Two began in January 2018 and concluded in June 2021 after 141 episodes. The break between the two campaigns saw several one-shots broadcast.
Following campaign two, the spin-off limited series Exandria Unlimited ran from June 2021 until August 2021. October 21, 2021 saw the start of the third campaign. The show lends its name to the company owned by the cast, Critical Role Productions; the cast owns the intellectual property from the program. Based on the first Critical Role campaign, the animated series The Legend of Vox Machina debuted on Amazon Prime Video on January 28, 2022.
Mighty Nein, a forthcoming animated series based on the second campaign, Critical Role Productions, was announced in January 2023. In May 2024, it debuted its boutique subscription streaming platform Beacon using the Critical Role broadcast and VODs accessible to platform members. They revealed a fresh programming schedule for Beacon with episodes connected to the main series, Critical Role Abridged and Critical Role Cooldown.
