The show features a custom-designed water stage, traveling from city to city. The show’s stage holds around 35,000 gallons of water dazzled over by the performers while entertaining the audience with their every move. Cirque Italia was originally started in 2012 by an Italian entertainment company that brings European-style performances.
Manuel Rebecchi is the founder of Cirque Italia, the nephew of the world-renowned queen of the Italian circus, Moira Orfei. Rebecchi combined his family’s pedigree with groundbreaking ideas to form such a company that would leave the competitors hurrying to catch up and the audience breathless. Cirque Italia combines the appreciation of production and the circus arts to create such a magical night. The show consists of high-energy acts such as swinging from ropes, roller skates and BMX bikes, and flip-over trapezes.
The element of water inspired the idea behind Cirque Italia. Acts of the circus express fluidity and versatility through human movement while rain curtains and fountain jets cross in time to each move.
