Terence Allan Crawford (September 28, 1987) is an American professional boxer. From lightweight to welterweight, he has won world championships numerous times, including uncontested titles in both weight categories. Crawford briefly held the unchallenged light welterweight championship in August 2017. He was the first fighter in any weight class to do so since Jermain Taylor in 2005 and the first to do so since Kostya Tszyu in 2004.
In the "four-belt era," Crawford joined the ranks of just two other male boxers—Naoya Inoue and Oleksandr Usyk—who became the unchallenged champion in two weight divisions. The bout between Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. for the vacant welterweight belts was officially announced on May 25, 2023. It was scheduled for July 29, 2023, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Ring and BoxRec have Crawford placed third among current boxers in terms of pound-for-pound as of May 2024. The Boxing Writers Association of America honored Crawford as Fighter of the Year in 2014, while ESPN repeated the honor in 2014 and 2017. He is a welterweight champion, having won the WBA (Super version) and WBO (World Boxing Organization) belts as of May 2024.
