Clemson Tigers Baseball Information
The Clemson Tigers baseball team competes in NCAA Division I collegiate baseball and represents Clemson University. The team is currently competing in the Atlantic Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Tigers are led by Erik Bakich, who serves as the head coach, and they play their home games at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.
Since the program's inception in 1987, it has participated in the NCAA tournament in all but three of the following seasons. There have been twelve times that Clemson has participated in the College World Series, and their overall record in Omaha is 12–24.
The University of South Carolina and this squad have a fierce rivalry inside the state of South Carolina. Mark Etheridge of SEBaseball has called it "college baseball's most heated rivalry," and Aaron Fitt of Baseball America has called it "far and away the most compelling rivalry college baseball has to offer." Both of these statements are considered to be accurate. The Clemson Tigers have a 188-145-2 advantage in the all-time rivalry as of March 3, 2024.
