Zedd Information
Anton Zaslavski (September 2, 1989) is a German DJ, record producer, and composer, mostly known by his stage name Zedd. He was born in Kaiserslautern, Germany, the site of his musical career. Zed, his stage name, is an abbreviation for the initial letter of his surname, Z, pronounced zed in English (except American English).
His breakout single "Clarity" (with Foxes) from 2012 catapulted him to fame; it peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and won Best Dance Recording at the 56th Grammys. The successful single "Stay the Night" (with Hayley Williams) was included on the 2013 deluxe version of his debut studio album Clarity, released later in 2012.
He released True Colors, his second studio album in 2015, with the track "I Want You to Know" featuring Selena Gomez serving as its lead single. In the years that followed, he would release other popular singles, such as "Stay" (which peaked at No. 7) and "The Middle" (which peaked at No. 2) with Maren Morris and Grey, as well as "Break Free" (which peaked at No. 4) with Ariana Grande.
The song "You've Got to Let Go If You Want to Be Free" was released by Zedd and the English electronic duo Disclosure on January 28, 2022. A live stream of Zedd's performance at EDC Las Vegas occurred on May 20, 2022.
Zedd became the "Global Brand Ambassador" for HyperX, a computer peripherals firm that HP Inc. bought in 2021, and began a commercial partnership with the company on August 12, 2022.
