Wuki Information
Kris Barman is an American DJ, musician, and record producer. He is professionally known as Wuki. He was born in New Jersey, New Jersey. He started to play guitar at the age of 13. At the age of 16, Wuki began making beats on Fruity Loops. At the age of between 19 and 20, one of his friends started a band which was an electro band. Wuki dropped out of both school and college to pursue this band. He quoted “Smack My Bitch Up” by The Prodigy as his career-changing song.
Wuki toured extensively with Innerpartysysterm, but the band announced on August 3, 2011, that they would go on an indefinite hiatus. Wuki then moved to Denver, Colorado, and started producing and performing under his current moniker. His first gig was to host a late-night radio on Denver’s 93.3. Since then, Wuki has been performing and recording as a solo flight. He released his solo project that gained global recognition. The project racked up more than 45 million streams all across platforms.
In 2012, Wuki self-released a four-track EP named “Something For Everyone Vo. 1”. He also produced other notable tracks such as “That’s Right,” “Jungle Funk,” “Buffalo Bass” and “Diwali.”
