Will Evans is an American songwriter and singer who is also a lifelong surfer and environmentalist. For the last decade, he worked as the primary songwriter and frontman for Barefoot Truth, the New England based Roots Rock outfit. Evans embarked on his solo journey after releasing four albums and 50+ million plays on Pandora & Spotify for this outfit. Since then, he has been touring extensively and released three additional full-length albums.
“Wishin’ Well” (2013) was the first full-length album by Evan, which was followed by “Signal Flares” (2015) and “Rise” (2018). The latter was nominated for three categories by the New England Music Awards: Roots Act of the Year, Album of the Year, and Video of the Year (“Family Tree”). This album features deeply personal topics, including compassion, humanity, and a glimpse of current political times’ reflection.
As he is a passionate environmentalist, Evans’s songs speak about the importance of connecting with and protecting mother earth. His album “Rise” delivers a collection of socially conscious songs that are heavily filled with the messages of love, inclusion, and possibility. Evans displays a technical mastery of live-looping skills in his live performances. He showcases his percussion background, which is perfectly combined with layers of acoustic guitar and his soulful vocals.
