wAFF Information
DJ/producer wAFF got his start in the underground club scenes of Leeds and Hull, but now he's famous worldwide. His peers highly regard him. His schedule is quite demanding, but he always needs to follow steps. Aside from Sven Väth's Cocoon, he is the only British artist to have recorded for Adam Beyer's Drumcode and Loco Dice's Desolat, the three major European techno hubs. He brings boundless energy and meticulous focus to the music he creates. This summer, for example, he'll be performing at venues worldwide, including his regular spot at Elrow at Amnesia and Paradise at DC-10.
He recently played at Space in Miami and has made festival appearances at Glastonbury, Hideout, Sziget, and the original madhouse in the Nevada Desert, Burning Man. wAFF, now based in London, is widely recognized as the person who began the underground dance scene in his hometown of Hull and found success with his Koala parties in Leeds.
His Hot Creations debut, "Rainbows," 2016's "Sick Pleasure" and "Kidney Punch," and 2015's "Fat Gash" have all been supported by DJs ranging from Patrick Topping to Marco Carola, and he has been a member of Jamie Jones' Paradise crew since their first season at DC-10 in 2012. While his nine-minute techno-tinged floor-stormer "VibrationZ" was released by Drumcode, his "Freeks EP" for Cocoon was a much-hammered hypno-thumping classic.
