Wade Hayes Information
Tony Wade Hayes (April 20, 1969) is an American country music artist. He was born in Bethel Acres, Oklahoma. His father, Don Hayes, was also a successful country performer, and he took after him. Hayes started learning mandolin, but as his dad bought him a guitar, he quickly changed gears. His father had signed with a small record label in Nashville, Tennessee, so the family uprooted when he was 11. The record label went bankrupt not long after. After moving back to Oklahoma, Wade joined his dad's band and began his musical career.
Hayes transferred between three different universities before deciding to pursue a career in country music in 1991 after being inspired by bluegrass singer Ricky Skaggs' performance at the 1991 Country Music Association awards event. After returning to Nashville, Wade started making demo recordings and writing songs. Don Cook, a record producer who has worked with numerous country music acts, including Brooks & Dunn, was recommended to Hayes by composer Chick Rains.
Hayes's "Is It Already Time" single came out in 2012 on RPM Entertainment. Old Country Song, Hayes' new album, was released on June 9, 2017. Dave Mcfee and Hayes co-produced the 11-song album of classic and new material. Conabor Records distributed the album.
