W and W Information
W&W is a Dutch DJ and producer duo consisting of Ward van der Harst and Willem van Hanegem Jr. The pair first connected on Windows Live Messenger, where they traded demos of their music. The two DJs hit it up after their respective solo debuts and eventually connected at the Trance Energy 2007 Festival in the Netherlands. The same year also saw the release of the successful track "Mustang," frequently played by DJs like Armin van Buuren and Tiesto.
On September 23, 2011, W&W released its first full-length album, titled "Impact." In April 2012, they established Mainstage Music as a sub-label of Armada Music, taking its name from the title of one of their most commercially successful songs to that point. The label also releases songs by artists other than W&W, such as those by Armin van Buuren, Andrew Rayel, and Sick Individuals.
The duo's single "Lift Off!" was released on December 3, 2012, and it featured aspects more typical of the popular large room genre, such as a trance and electro house blend. They transitioned to the huge room home scene official not long after. The Dutch Top 100 Singles chart placed "Lift Off!" at position #82. Since then, they released two more singles, "Trigger" (co-produced by Marcel Woods and Ummet Ozcan) and "The Code" (co-produced by Woods and Woods). Dutch DJ Hardwell picked both up.
