Voctave Information
Voctave is an American acapella group. The current lineup of the band consists of Bradley Roberts (Musical Director), Karl Hudson (bass), Aaron Stratton (baritone and bass), Kurt von Schmittou (baritone), Jamey Ray (tenor 3), Drew Ochoa (tenor 2), E. J. Cardona (tenor 1), Chrystal Johnson (alto 2), Sarah Whiitemore (alto 1), Ashley Espinoza (alto and soprano), Tiffany Coburn (soprano 2), and Kate Lott (soprano 1). The group is currently based in Central Florida, United States. They often perform intricate music arrangements from Christmas, jazz standards, Disney, and Broadway music.
Jamey Ray, the group’s arranger, also teaches at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. Ray’s arrangements blend classical group choral techniques with gospel and barbershop. The band released Disney Love Medley in early 2016, featuring Jeremy Michael Lewis and Kirstin Maldonado of Pentatonix. The video also featured three songs about love. As of December 2021, the songs have accumulated more than 30 million views.
Voctave has released many albums since they have started their career, including The Spirit of the Season (2016), Voctave (2016), Snow (2017), The Corner of Broadway and Main Street (2017), Symphony Series (2019), Symphony Series –Christmas Edition (2019), Somewhere There’s Music (2019), The Corner of Broadway and Main Street Vol. 2 (2020), and The Spirit of the Season – Deluxe Edition (2021).
