Veronic DiCaire Information
Véronic DiCaire (December 18, 1976) is a Canadian Franco-Ontarian singer and impressionist from Embrun, Ontario. She is also known as Veronic and began her career with the Sens Unique. Later she had a role in the Montreal, Quebec version of the musical Grease. DiCaire also provided her voice for the French language version of Chicago singing the parts of Roxie Hart's role.
DiCaire sang at the opening ceremony of Jeux de la Francophonie in 2001, held in Ottawa. She also enjoyed a role in Revue et corrigée, directed by Joël Legendre, in 2006 and in the television series Le 7e Round. Véronic DiCaire was a self-titled debut album by her that came out via Warner Music. The album was nominated for Felix Awards at the Gala of ADISQ. It was followed by her second album, entitled Sans détour, in 2005.
Véronic DiCaire opened for Celine Dion at Bell Centre (Montreal) in 2008, during Dion's Taking Chances Tour. She is also well-known for her imitations of many celebrities, including Adele, Cher, Celine Dion, Tina Turner, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Gloria Estefan, Shania Twain, Dolly Parton, Lynda Lemay, and Christina Aguilera.
DiCaire was chosen as a judge for the French X Factor in 2011. She took the stage at Bally's Las Vegas with her show "Voices" in 2013. She also performed the Canadian national anthem "O Canada" during the 2015 Pan American Games opening ceremony in Toronto.
