Turbulence Information
Lebanese guitarist Alain Ibrahim and keyboardist Mood Yassin formed Turbulence, a Prog Metal band, in 2013 in Metn, Lebanon. They successfully executed four live presentations dubbed "Dream Theater Night," during which they performed massive Dream Theater repertoires alongside some of the top local artists, gaining local notoriety and establishing themselves as a frontrunner in their profession.
The trio of Alain, Mood, and Omar El Hajj, who sings, collaborated to create the debut album "Disequilibrium," published in 2015 to rave reviews and was quickly heralded as the work of one of the region's most accomplished and promising Prog bands.
After adding Sayed Gereige (drums) and Anthony Atwe (bass) to their lineup, Turbulence made a name for themselves in a region that isn't known for progressive rock by delivering performances that are on par with the best in the world. They then wrote and produced their sophomore album, "Frontal," which showcases their ability to tell engaging stories through music using cutting-edge production techniques.
Early in 2020, Turbulence completed filming on "Frontal." And after a "hiatus" of three years, the band signed with Frontiers Records and will re-emerge in 2021 with a new lineup and sound.
