American producer and DJ Tsuruda, a leader in the Los Angeles bass scene, is a classically trained musician with a distinct sound that combines aspects of experimental hip-hop with avant-garde electronics. Tsuruda has captured wide-eyed crowds with his dynamic music and hypnotizing live presentations, which have brought him to prestigious festivals such as Shambhala Music Festival and EDC Las Vegas and his solo tours around North America beyond since his debut in 2014.
Tsuruda's official debut artist album, Move, was released in June 2017 on Division Recordings, the trendsetting label founded by iconic drum & bass group Noisia. Move goes between trap-leaning percussions, hip-hop beats, carefully picked samples, and features breakout tracks "Peanut Butter" and "Brrrap!! Unlimited Data, his second artist album, was released in October 2018 on Courteous Family, the prominent Los Angeles artist collective and independent boutique record label he co-founded in 2014. Unlimited Data features live instrumentation, inventive samples, complex percussions and rhythms, deep lo-fi bass and halftime beats, and collaborations with fellow bass beatmakers Alix Perez and Woolymammoth.
Tsuruda is unparalleled on the live circuit for his distinctive, third-eye-opening sets. He's performed mind-blowing shows at some of the world's biggest festivals and marquee events, including headlining and high-profile gigs at Infrasound Music Festival and Daybreak Festival.
