Tiffany (October 2, 1971) was born as Tiffany Renee Darwish. She is an American songwriter, actress, singer, and former teen icon who began singing at the age of 4. Tiffany attended Leffingwell Christian High School and became famous for her 1987 cover of the song "I Think We're Alone Now." The song was originally recorded in 1967 by Tommy James and the Shondells. Tiffany's cover was released as the second single from her self-titled album. Her music is defined as pop, dance-pop, pop-rock, and country.
Tiffany found commercial success by an original mall tour named "The Beautiful You: Celebrating The Good Life Shopping Mall Tour '87." Both the album and the single peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200 charts. They were followed by singles "I Saw Him Standing There," "Could've Been," and a cover of The Beatles' "I Saw Her Standing There."
Hold an Old Friend's Hand was the second album by her that featured a top-10 single. The song charted on the Billboard 200 in 1988. In the 1990s, Tiffany threw two additional releases, including the 1990's New Inside and the Asia-exclusive Dreams Never Die. Some of her other notable albums are Dust Off and Dance (2005), The Color of Silence (2000), Just Me (2007), Rose Tattoo (2011), A Million Miles (2016), and Pieces of Me (2018).
Tiffany has also made several appearances in films and television shows such as the short-lived sitcom "That '80s Show," the comedy How I Met Your Mother, short film The Isolationist, and many more.
