Thee Phantom Information
Thee Phantom is an accomplished musician who has made a name for himself by melding classically trained players into his live performances of Hip-Hop. At 8, he penned his first rhyming couplet, and by 12, he had constructed his first beat by fusing the instrumental to Paul Revere by the Beastie Boys with Beethoven's Fifth Symphony.
In 2002, Phantom made history by being the first Hip-Hop artist to perform at Philadelphia's prestigious Kimmel Center, accompanied by members of the world-famous Philadelphia Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia. In 2003, Phantom was asked to return to the Kimmel Center's Summer Solstice Celebration as a featured performer. The 650-seat Perelman Theater was jam-packed for his performance, which featured an accompanying string quartet, concert pianist, and sitar player.
At a performance in June 2006, Phantom brought a string quartet, a brass quartet, a female vocalist, a DJ, and a trio of breakdancers to the stage of the Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia. With a string trio and a female vocalist known only as "The Phoenix," Phantom made his broadcast debut in October 2006 on Philadelphia's NBC 10 Show. In 2006, Phantom finished recording his first album and published it under his label, Invisible Man Productions. It was titled Thee Phantom's Hero Complex.
